Chucky (Season 1 & 2)

 

This series was hilarious! I mean, Chucky in general is just funny in general, but this show made me lol so many times. It was really neat how they had a lot of the original cast in the show too. Also...who knew Chucky was so inclusive?? They/them pronouns?? The main character is gay?? Tiffany (spelling?) Valentine and another woman?? Chucky is officially an LGBTQ+ icon. Maybe he has always been and I had no idea. The amount of characters that died on the show was comical as well. In true Chucky fashion, there were so many ridiculous means of death (i.e. Chucky puking up beer on a live wire and killing Jake's dad). The acting was a bit hokey, but I think it is supposed to be. This is about a killer doll...so yeah. Not sure if authenticity is the priority here. Plus Jennifer Tilly is just an over-the-top character so everyone played off each other really well. The directors did a really good job incorporating Chucky into the modern world! I am very excited for Season 3 to come out of Shudder. The end of Season 2 reveals that Chucky is still alive and now has Lexi's sister...
