Get out? More like GET OUT of here with how good this movie is. This may the first (or one of the first) movies I've seen of Jordan Peele's and I was definitely not disappointed. Not gonna lie, the first time I watched it I did not really grasp what was going on, but watching it again for the second time really painted a vivid picture of how fucked the movie's plot is. I feel like any movie that has a racial element has that extra layer of creep because that is something so prevalent in today's society. Like what is creepier than hating someone or viewing them less because of the color of their skin? It just shows that backwards thinking that causes more unease because you can see how their mind works now. It's very similar to the religious aspect in movies. Something so backwards and ritualistic...yikes! Also, the main girl character is a total bitch psycho, but she played that part so well. Like played it so well I legit hate her and don't even know her (like how Harry Potter fans hate Umbridge and don't even know her...she's just such a crazy bitch!). This movie did a great job on delivering a very unsettling slow burn and had a lot of hidden connotations that I most likely did not pick up on. I feel like this is one of those movies that the more times you watch, the more meaning and symbolism one can pick up. Maybe this one would be a good first one to introduce a person to horror with!
