Oddity

 

Ok, remind me to never let full-sized wooden men into my house?? I mean letting men into my house in general is pushing it, but yeah, 6 foot tall, warped wooden males with occult artifacts stuck in their heads are def not allowed in. I was really surprised how much I liked this movie! I guess I didn't really know too much about it before watching, but damn this movie was really good. I was literally the only person in the theater that night. Nobody was gonna match my freak and that's ok. Also, I had no idea popcorn was so expensive because I never buy it. I had a hankering though so I found out a medium popcorn is $11...anyways. This movie had so many good elements to it. I love a movie with cursed items (check), good plot twists (check), good jump scares and unease (check), crazy people who really aren't that crazy (check), camera footage (check). The jump scares did get me a little (especially alone in a dark theater), but that's why you go to the theater! I think the best part of this movie was watching the character development. I knew the main doctor was a total prick. I mean anyone with that kind of a nose and also wears cardigans def think they are better than everyone else. Then when the orderly was just like "why don't you just divorce your wife?" (instead of straight up killing her) and the doc was just like "she'll never get over me and I want the house??" What????? Ok dude...hope that bellhop ghost dude gets you at the end (I think that's what they were alluding to).
