Alien

 

Imagine blowing up an entire spacecraft just to see that the alien is still on board with you...I mean Sigourney did shoot that bitch out of her ship, but imagine...just internal "oh fuck". I'm also gonna get hate for this, but this movie is so slow in the beginning! I haven't watched this movie in ages (like at least a decade) and I have to admit I fell asleep during the first 20 minutes a couple times haha. That's a lot of movies though! Especially horror. Gotta get that slow burn to really build up a good scare. With that being said, this movie definitely ramped up when that alien parasite latched onto dude's face! I was also lol'ing at how long the crew took to realize that dude was in trouble and wasn't just messing around at the "dinner table"?? Like do you think someone would act that dramatically just because they didn't vibe with the food?? Must be the parasite about to fucking emerge from your chest! I still cannot believe this movie is from 1979! What cool special effects for that time and it had a real "modern" (not sure if that is the word I am looking for) feel to horror for being an older flick. No wonder this movie stood the test of time! I cannot wait to see the newest one coming out (I think next week??). I think I am going to squeeze in a couple others from the Alien franchise as well before going to see the film.
