Not gonna lie. This doll scared the shit out of me as a kid. Like I didn't even watch the movie and had a hard time falling asleep because I would picture this freaking doll's face. It also didn't help that my dad adored the movies and dressed up like him for Halloween lolllll. Ok what is there NOT to like about this movie? Chucky is one of the most cuntiest horror movie icons out there. Like he really be doin the most and he is petty as hell. Maybe that's why he is so funny to me like damn dude you didn't have to do all that. This is such a great classic horror flick and it is about that time a year again to pull out alllll the classics and bake cookies and order pizza and fatten up for the winter! I'm super stoked that the Chucky franchise is on Netflix right now and me and my sick doggie will definitely be checking it out (we are currently making our way through the Alien franchise on Hulu). What made this movie so iconic was Chucky's facial expressions. They really tried to master the uncanny valley and for being an older film they did a great job (I mean it did traumatize me as a kid just from the movie cover, you just don't expect to see a doll lookin hella mad like that). It's so funny how now as an adult (who has been working on herself quite a bit) I find comfort in this movie instead of thinking it was going to come out of nowhere and kill me. A full circle in life!
