The Sixth Sense
Still one of the most iconic horror movies in my mind. I remember how legendary the twist was that Bruce Willis was the ghost the whole time?? This movie is def top among cozy scary movies. I went to Goodwill yesterday to see what horror movies were worth the haul and this one made it home with me (and Signs). I love Toni Collette in any role she plays (I'm too lazy to look up if I spelled her name correctly). She really acts out distressed women so genuinely...she sort of seems like one of those actors who actually went through some shit and half of the acting is just their vestigial trauma being responded to. Little Haley is also just so adorable in this movie. If I were to every adopt my first choice would be a girl, but something about this cute little ghost boy who is just so afraid of life had me wanting to adopt the little guy (maybe because I'm also in my 30s and just lost my dog haha). Every girl should have a standard to get someone who looks at you as intently as Bruce Willis looks at anything in this entire movie. He's got those deep genuine eyes that really made him seem like a genuine character in the movie. This is another horror movie that is much more psychological (I'm tweaking out...did I spell that right??), but some of the ghost scenes were pretty creepy and memorable. I think the ghost that sticks out the most (also prob because she had the most screentime) was the little girl who kept getting fed freakin' household cleaner for her meals. It stuck out to me the most because I watch a lot of true crime and this stuff actually happens more than people think.
Rotten Tomatoes rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars (worth it!)
My rating: 4.6 out of 5 stars...because I'm that sort of person to go up .1 I guess.
