There are a lottt of things I like about the remake, and I do not think it is betttter than the original, I think it's just different. First of all, really good cast and Billie did a great job as Pennywise. This version of Pennywise is WAY more intense. Tim Curry was a much more subtle kind of fuck with you kind of alien clown. THIS Pennywise will unhinge its jaw and just fucking go for you. I mean, yes, that obviously happened with Georgie in the original, but this Pennywise was way more in your face and physically more invasive. Ok, the little kid gang was way raunchier too, but what do you expect comparing movies that are decades apart in production. Nothing...and I mean nothing will be as fucked up as the book is. Not even the stuff with Pennywise....I think we alllll are thinking of that weird child group sex circle thing that happened....the movies are soooo much tamer than the books. Like that was messed up. I really liked all the special effects they did with Pennywise! As I said before, I think this Pennywise was scarier rather than creepy. Damn, these are some long ass movies though. I am going to rewatch chapter two soon and I'm a little intimidated that it's over 2 and a half hours long haha. I have good memories of seeing this movie even with everything in life that has changed in the last couple years. Overall, this was a pretty good remake, and the casting was pretty good. I feel like they honored the original vision but gave it a modern twist to make the fear more relatable today.

My rating: 4 out of 5 stars...I'm even wearing a Pennywise shirt. I'm sorry, I stand by my 4.
