Trick 'r Treat
Alright I got some shit for not remembering a lot of this movie, so I had to give it a rewatch. I love and hate this movie (ok, hate is a strong word). What I love about this movie is that all the stories and intertwined and it follows the story from different character's perspectives. What I find not so great about the movie is how cheeeeeeeesy it is. BUT its like a good halloween cheese, just not really my thing. Like the campy werewolf girls and little pumpkin head using his little lollipop as weapon lolllll. Then there were some scenes that are a bit more disturbing like the fact that a number of parents paid a bus driver to drive their kids off a cliff?? That was def the best story out of all of them. This whole movie was giving Creepshow vibes and I really cannot believe how little I remembered of this movie. I know I have had it on before, but yeah, I really did forget almost everything in the movie. I think this movie is great for people who want something sort of spooky, but not to actually be spooked. That is totally fair and ok. I can see how this movie became a classic Halloween movie and in a lot of ways it's a super cozy movie. It was a nice break from some of the more disturbing horror films I have rated. Lots of little twists and turns that keep the movie interesting, and that little pumpkin head kid is freaking adorable.
Rotten Tomatoes rating: 4 out of 5 stars
My rating: 3.7 out of 5 stars...please don't kill me.
