The Bridge Curse
I think there were a lot of good parts to this movie! First of all, the story of the curse was pretty good. In the beginning we are made to believe that the woman (who the curse is based around) commits suicide on this bridge due to her groom to be not showing up for their wedding. HOWEVER, you find out later that she was actually dragged into the woods by 5 men and was sexually assaulted then murdered. It was staged to look like a suicide, but that's not what happened. You also have no idea as a viewer that the some of the students are helping spread the curse because they do not want to die. The woman gives an ultimatum about either killing 5 people (as a sacrifice for the 5 people who murdered her) or be killed yourself. I personally think they waited a bittttt too long to introduce some of this info. Almost like there was too much filler before the big twist. The twist here being that you do not know that the students who were confronted by the woman is actually helping spread the curse. They did a good job with some of the creepy scenes for sure, but I lost a bit of interest in the middle. My interest spiked back up at the end when the dots connect a bit more with who the curse was intended to affect. Overall, this movie had a lot of good creepy found footage scenes while delivering a pretty good story. If they just put some of the twists in during the middle or made the movie a bit shorter...that's really my only complaint for the entire film!
Rotten Tomatoes rating: 1.5 out of 5 stars (but only 6 people reviewed it!)
My rating: 3.7 out of 5 stars
