Better than Five Nights at Freddy's...but wtf? This is not an outrageously weird film; however, it was a weird one. What I didddd really like about this movie was the origin story of the animtronics. I liked the whole serial killer owning the place and then their souls getting transferred. I allllso like how the whole town was terrorized and used as sacrifices. Freddy's could have done something more like this! Idk...everyone hates that movie and I can't blame them. But that's a review for another time. What I didnnnn't like about the movie so much was the cast of teens. Like they couldn't be anymore basic?? But I guess that's pretty typical for movies and maybe I'm just bein a hater. The whole awkward scene with that animatronic just chillin in the corner being a total WATCHER...and they kept goinnnn. Nooooo. Ugh no. I couldn't. Okay, there is a debate on Cage's character and who he is in the film because they never say. I originally thought he was doing like volunteer work for community service or something. Then some people were saying he represents the devil or death?? I didn't take it that symbolically, but I also didn't even think to go that deep into this film lollll this just seemed like a fun little Nick Cage film with not too much meaning?...idk you would insert symbolism into pretty much anything so who is to say. Maybe he will tell one day!
