Final Destination
If Alex could just close his damn mouth...that is one of my biggest pet peeves. Like I get if you are running or being active, but people who just have their mouths open for no reason?...jail. There are so many things to like about this movie. One of the best things about this movie is that there are creative ways to die. One of my best friends and I used to sit behind the penguin exhibit at an aquarium we worked at and watch 1000 Ways to Die. Oh, and the creativity is just getting started. I like this series more than the saw series because I am not a huge torture fan, but it takes the creative ways of death and makes it into more of a suspenseful theme via invisible entity. That's another thing I like about the movie. There is no visible killer. It's just like this entity that takes what "belongs" to it. This entity clearly has an agenda for people's deaths (sort of like a Shinigami in a way?). I think it was sort of a creative twist to be able to be safe if someone had intervened your death. It makes death more of a game that way rather than just avoiding death as a monster. This movie was just making it out of the 90s cheesy acting into 00s cheesy acting, but we are here to watch the plot! I really don't have much to recap on the first film because the story grows, and I feel like there will be more to touch on as I review my way through the series. I have the 5-disc collection on DVD, and they are coming out with a new one soon! Man, poor Alex though. First, he freaks out on the plane after having the worst premonition of his life then is blamed for all these heinous things going on around him. That scene where he is in his little boarded up cabin (or house I can't remember) and he is eating his little canned meal hahahaha.
Rotten Tomatoes rating: 2 out of 5 stars?? Geez, was not expecting that
My rating: 3.8 out of 5 stars
