Not the tapeworm eggs! I'm a freak because I love parasitic horror. I sort of forgot the story of the original Cinderella story (I forgot that she had to fit the shoe and whatnot). Man...was this a take on the story or what? This story is basically about doing whatever it takes to try to get what you want. We start with Elvira's family who is poor and the mother seeks male suiters for both her and her eldest daughter. It's weird because she doesn't even act like a mom. She acts like her daughters are purely transactional to get money and the lifestyle she wants. Granted, this takes place in a day where women didn't have as much opportunity and if I was in that era, I'd be trying to get a rich hubby too! Not to the extreme she does though. It's really sad to see how her daughter just hates herself and how much hate she feels from the mother throughout the movie. Ughhhh and then the foot scene where Elvira is trying to make her foot fit the shoe but cuts the toes off the wrong foot! Only for mother to swoop in, drug her, and cut her other toes off. I mean this is the same mother who also took her daughter to get her nose broken! Then there's the tapeworm. Oh, the tapeworm. That ending scene where that tapeworm just keeeeeeept coming out of her was brutal. Idk what is worse though. That scene or where she was puking up the eggs. Also, the prince she is losing her shit over is not that cute! Like the guy that asked her to dance after the prince got distracted was better looking! It's all about the end game though. I like how Agnes just had to walk into the ball with her face covered up and still got the prince. That was super symbolic. It's all about vibessss and she did have a nice body I guess. Elvira has a nice body too, but she is like big in a ripped way! She's very muscular looking to me which I guess dudes don't like. Omg then the ending scene was so heartbreaking, yet relieving? The girls are escaping, but the mom just watches her daughter steel from her room, and she continues to give a male suiter a bj?? It's really so sad how some women and men will completely lose everything for the opposite sex like that. Then if you stay after the credits, you will see that Agnes' father never got buried because the money was used to try to make Elvira as cosmetically done as possible. This was a realllly solid movie and yet another internal horror film that is fantastic.
