Tremors

Reba is a surviiiiiivooooooor. My grandpa always complained that she should have just stuck to acting and I think she is a good singer too! That song, "Fancy"?? Hello?? This is an amazing movie that has some of the best non-cgi props to exist in my opinion. The graboids in the movie as so cool and are so well done! I also love the whole premise of this movie. I mean, first of all, you have the town of Perfect with like 14 people and they are all a bunch of characters. The two main dudes also play super well together and have a funny dynamic. They act super brotherly and are the first to befriend the traveling geologist who is researching the seismic activity in the area. Another thing I really like about the graboids is that they have smaller little snakelike creatures that come out of the ground sort of like a lure (or I guess more like feelers scoping out the area) then the actual main body and head of the graboid come out from under! Man, they did a good job with all the slime and the guts of the things. When that one graboid exploded via homemade bomb in mouth all the bright orange guts spilling from the sky was a really good touch! There was honestly nothing that I dislike about this movie...like what is there to dislike? That cast is awesome, the plot is original, the props were super well done, the story was executed well, and all of these factors make this film a beloved favorite of the horror community. I think if someone held me at gunpoint and made me say something bad about Tremors, it would be that is not that scary of a movie? I don't think that was the intent though. This was more of an action (sort of sci-fi?) based horror movie that is not going to have that creep factor like a lot of paranormal movies have. This is def a creature feature in its own little lane. It's the fact that these things could just burst out of the ground and eat you that makes this movie creepy if anything! When the whole graboid goes flying through the cliffside in that one scene in the end we can see how freaking huge those things are! Ugh and of course the two love interests end up kissing at the enddddd how cuteeeeee.
