Annabelle

Lolllll Annabelle has to be the biggest doll to exist. It always cracks me up when she appears on the screen. She also looks nothing like the real Annabelle doll (which I totally understand). Ok, this movie takes place a little before The Conjuring I believe. We have the perfect, cis, white couple living their perfect lives then this doofus comes home with the freakiest doll to exist. I guess the wife had been looking for this particular doll for a while (I guess she is the freak). Then one night the neighbor's estranged daughter and her boyfriend kill them and then attempt to kill Mia. The girl is killed, and she marks the wall with a cult symbol as some of her blood trickles down into Annabelle's eye. The baby is born healthy, and things seem to be going okay (even after Annabelle tried to burn the house down and knock the preggo over). Mia is taunted more and more while her hubby John is busy playing doctor. Then it becomes double trouble as the demonic force can literally be seen as a demon now (who is controlling the Annabelle doll along with the spirit of the neighbor's daughter?). I mean, I guess that sort of makes sense with her devoting her life to the demon and all. I feel like it is her spirit in the doll and the demon is playing driver. Anyways, we also have Evelyn who attempted suicide because she killed her daughter in a car accident. We also have Father Perez who, honestly, I don't think helped that much. The demon is ultimately looking for a soul to claim and is trying to make Mia sacrifice her soul for her daughter's safety. That's where Evelyn plays the noble steed and sacrifices herself as penance for her daughter's death. All seems to be well. They definitely set up the ending, so you knew more sequels were coming out! Not complaining! They will all end up on this blog eventually.
