Heart Eyes

This one just happened to be on Netflix, so I gave it a watch. I was not expecting it to be like a straight up comedy lolllll it was actually pretty funny in some parts. There was nothing too special about this movie. It takes place in Seattle which was pretty neat. Heart Eyes is referred to as HEK a lot in the movie and "he" targets couples on Valentine's Day (and I think other days but especially Valentine's Day?). Our main girl finds a connection with someone at a coffee shop to find they actually work at the same company. They really tried to go for the typical cheesy rom com storyline. They end up talking about a project over drinks on VD and at first, she turns him down. Howeverrrr, she has a change of heart and kisses him outside the restaurant in front of her ex (accidently). She says they are together, but they really aren't, so they become a target of HEK. Then it's your classic run from the killer bit for a while. They finally find out who HEK really is and it is really 3 people (Oh yeah and the main guy was suspected as well). It was the cop (or detective?) and the guy who I think matched with the main girl once or something? I can't remember lollll but either way they had a brief encounter. It was the two of them as a couple who had a kink for hunting couples then a third guy who was a like a fan of HEK or something. He was like a disposable spare in the thruple. They are eventually all killed and the main two start to finally date. So, it ends on a happy note like a typical rom com. I actually think this was a pretty fun watch...it just had no substance to it. I don't think it was meant to! I think it was just a cheesy slasher to release around V-Day.
