This movie wastes no time in showing you T & A. I can't believe this movie was directed and produced by two women! I for sure thought some pervs were making this, but women can be total pervs too lollll I guess that is my gripe about a lot of older slashers (like look at the freaking movie poster) but, hey, anything for the crowds, right? I think the purpose of this is also to make the movie more limit-pushing because if you are gonna have murder and blood in your movie, you might as well just exploit everything lol. We start off with hearing about our main man Russ Thorn on the radio (so that sets the tone). Then we have the two teenage boys harass the phone lady who is then killed by who we assume is Russ Thorn. Poor lady died with a drill injury through the forehead. He also doesn't wait long at all before going into the school and stalking/killing one of the girls who went back into to grab a textbook. Then we jump to the cool basketball girl's slummmmber party which takes place right next to the new girl's house (who declined to go to the party because they were talking about her in the locker room...so fair). We get some scares from the next-door neighbor who breaks into the house to "check" on the girls. He doesn't last too long before he too becomes a victim of Russ Thorn. He also takes his vengeance on the pizza delivery dude and the two teenage boys (who were harassing the phone lady). Oh, and he does a clean cut with his drill on the boyfriend who is hiding in the car thinking he is gonna get lucky at his place in a little bit (wah wah). The next-door neighbor girl and her sis eventually make it over to the party, but a bit too late. Some of the girls have already been murdered and the little sis sees Russ hide under the blanket (pretending to be the dead pizza guy). Then the very involved lady's basketball coach comes by after being concerned throughout the night. She is unfortunately killed leaving the new girl and her sis to face Russ Thorn alone. They do a good job at keeping him at bay while cutting off his hand and he eventually stumbles on top of the machete she is wielding. Bye, Russ! I am excited to watch the second installment in this franchise, and I believe I saw SPM2 on a Joe Bob special. Can't wait to grab some popcorn and enjoy!

My rating: 3.8 out of 5 stars. Hokey yes, but I love a story where the girls sort of work together against this one dude who literally said "You're pretty. All of you are very pretty. I love you. It takes a lot of love for a person to... do this"
