I'll have to admit...this one was pretty abstract even for me. Of course, I had to run to YouTube and find a video of someone telling me what the hell was going on. Side note: I saw this movie at a drive-in double feature (the other movie being Alien: Romulus) with me doggie in the car and it was just so chill. We got front row parking, and it rained during the second movie which was nice and cozy. My dog is sick and doesn't have long to live so I will bring him up all the time. He was confused by the movie too! It def made a lot more sense once someone broke down the symbolism for me. AS A BIO MAJOR, I have heard of certain bird species dropping off one of their own eggs in a nest full of other bird's eggs so the whole bird women thing sort of made sense after that. I think my mind had a hard time wrapping my head around the women actually experiencing these things. I really wasn't sure if it was psychosis or not, but I think it was real since bird women possess special power?? The screaming blonde lady also really threw me off, but now I understand she is mama lady bird and she just wants to give you her goopy eggs! Is it really so much to ask? Just raise her genetically modified child as a surrogate without you knowing the child isn't biologically yours! Gosh, I will have to watch this movie over again (and Alien: Romulus because my stupid radio wasn't working for like the first 20 minutes...). I liked it though! Lots of things to pick up on. The next time I watch I know to take what's going on a lot more literally.
