THE SHUNTING hahahaha this movie is so fucking hilarious on so many levels. Like, of course, the plot is ridiculous, but like some of the random scenes and the dialogue?? If you want a movie to show your friends to prove that you like weird things, I think this is a solid choice. I was just in a mood for a weird ass movie the other night and this one surfaced my memory. I'm still in a mood for a weird horror film because. Well...I'm weird? Idk. Ugh the weird incest part is what gets me in this movie! The mom and dad and daughter all in bed rubbing on each other...ew. I did sort of marvel at the shunting scenes though. Those were pretty decent props/special effects for the time and they legit looked creepy (and moist). Then there is the iconic scene where Billy's dad's face is randomly where his asshole is?? That scene always sends me soaring. That one and the scene where Ted (? could be making that name completely up) is getting turned inside out and his face is shaking and he has random fish lips?? I guess the fish lips are like the after math of drawing one's face out so much during shunting activities?? Idk man...this movie is just such a fun, wild ride. People forget sometimes (including myself) that horror comedy exists! I will definitely be watching more of those this year.
