If you've ever played the Mortuary Assistant and loved it, this movie is for you. A friend and I played that game a while back and it was so fun! This is like a film adaptation of that game (even though the game came out first). I think this movie was your average horror flick and I don't think it was any more or any less. It was a very "clean" horror movie. Nothing that unsetting, no real body horror (I mean except the symbols on the inside of her skin). Really nothing crazy though. I think this is more of a teen horror flick if anything? Which is ok! Not every horror movie needs to be extreme or super weird. However....there is a reason why my attention span always gets the best of me by the second half of the movie. Again, it's good! Just doesn't really keep your attention that much. I can best describe this movie as a movie that is probably a lot more suspenseful as a book if that makes sense. The story was pretty good, but delivered a little too tamely?? I think this movie is like a lot of King's movies where a book delivered the story a lot better than the film did. I did like how the ending mimicked the beginning though! The mysterious deaths and now knowing that this bitch means business can make you conclude what was up with that house/crime scene. Overall, this movie is good, but average. If you have a friend who doesn't really like horror movies, but wants to give one a shot this would be a great one to introduce them to.
