Little Bites

Produced by Cher AND Chaz Bono?? I was literally just telling a friend about how this is such a star-studded cast for being more of a low-budget and not very well-known movie. I didn't know that the lady who plays Mindy is the director's wife! She's also in the Terrifier series. This was an interesting movie. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't sorrrrrrrt of predictable, however, the story is still pretty good. We focus on Mindy who has gone through some shit and is currently just trying to keep her daughter safe by not having her in proximity. The mom (who's the frickin lady from the Nun) makes her feel bad about the whole situation which doesn't really help. Aygar, the vampire, is introduced in the very beginning of the story as he summons Mindy with the ring of a bell (literally). She knows when she hears that bell that it is num num time for Aygar and she has to obey or else her daughter is at risk (or so she thinks). Aygar is either a real demon in this movie, or he is more of a representation of addiction and self-doubt. It really can be taken either way (that's what she said). I want to believe that Aygar is an actual vampire that resides in people's homes and takes literal bites out of them when he pleases. The reality is that Aygar is probably just a metaphor. Who knows though maybe both are true in a way. The most powerful part of this movie is the ending where we see that Mindy's daughter is not afraid of the monster and actually takes a bite out of him (how do you like that, bitch!). Mindy actually joins her daughter in the feast and they both chow down on the dude! A little taste of his own medicine. Now, the BEST part of the movie is when Mindy tries to drug Chaz Bono's character, Doug in the most obvious way lolllll She grinds up pills and puts enough medicine to coat the ice cream in a vibrant red. Even Chaz is like wtf is this, but continues to eat it? That whole scene knocked me out. Idk I enjoyed the movie but wasn't blown away by it by any means. It is certainly entertaining and worth the watch!

Shudder rating: 3 out of 5 skulls

My rating: 4 out of 5 skulls. I feel it barely made it into the 4-skull territory for me but as I said it was a pretty entertaining movie!
