This movie is kind of hilarious because it's almost the same as the first movie but instead of Jason's mom doin' the killin' it's Jason himself...spoooooky. But wait a second? (they all said in unison) Didn't he die in Crystal Lake? Gasp! He is alive. Lol Idk why I typed all of that. Ok, this review is going to be mostly babbling because the plot really isn't new. The only difference is that the events take place at a different camp (still at Crytal Lake), there is a livelier crew of counselors, and yeah, Jason is on the loose! Jason still doesn't wear the legendary hockey mask in this one, but we do see the shrine of Jason mother's head. I think they do a great job of some of the kills and special effects for the time this movie was made. I think it was made like only 10 months or something after the first of the franchise was made? I am really not sure why they made this film other than to just make the general audience know that Jason was fully alive and well (and probably waiting to kill you at Crystal Lake). I don't know why they wait so long to introduce him with his hockey mask hahaha it's like so much more iconic than the bag he has over his head. The ending was a bit funny where everything seems fine and then there is something ominous waiting at the door for Ginny and Paul. The freaking muffin comes trotting in the door just before Jason does a nosedive through the window to attack Ginny lollllll does Paul survive? It's left so intentionally open-ended that it was almost just like a filler/teaser movie to keep audiences wondering about Jason. Who is this mysterious man...?
