Curtains

A good but bizarre movie. I wasn't expecting to be as weird as it was in some parts (despite the weird ass movie poster). We have the director who was going to cast this lady as the lead role for a mentally dErAnGeD  woman. She wants this role so dang bad that she gets herself committed to an insane asylum for some good 'ole fashioned method acting inspiration. While she was gone though, the freaking director invites 6 other women to audition for the part pretty much gladiator style. One by one the women are killed off by a mysterious person in a classic who done it. My favorite killing off was the lady ice skating and all of a sudden, the creepy old lady mask wearing villain comes out of nowhere and attacks her. I want to believe this is the directors mask as he used it with the main girl who was supposed to get the role. He's like SEDUCE ME...without using your face lol. I feel like the doll was just so random in this movie. The killer of the first girl who was auditioning just took it from her closet and now she just uses it as sort of an omen or signature when she kills. Of course, we are led to believe that the killer is the main girl who committed herself into the asylum (she's dedicated!) but we find out at the very end that she was only responsible for killing the director and the girl he slept with. One of the girls who was a comedian trying to get into a serious role killed off the rest of the girls because she wanted this part so dang bad! When she is caught it's her turn to go to the insane asylum where she will remain telling jokes in front of an audience. At least she enjoys doing that! Dang, a lot of people died in this one...this was not a gory movie, however. Just a lot of deaths.

My rating: 3.6 out of 5 skulls. I originally put 3.4 but gave it .2 points higher because I liked the ending and there were a decent number of good scenes.
