You're Next

I had a friend tell me I NEED to watch this movie (if you are reading this...hi!) I did like the movie! I was telling my friend that my favorite part was the bad guys were the ominous looking people of the bunch. This movie had some pretty good actors, and I liked the plot (even though slightttttly predictable). I really loved the final girl trope! That lady was seriously a badass. My acute face blindness had me thinking this was the same lady as the neighbor but noooo my brain just tricked me hahah. I feel like horror always happen to rich families like this. I guess there is always more of a motive to kill them so more horror can have opportunity with the rich and powerful. I wish there was a little more story about how the bad son knew the hitmen. Also, did he tell them to be extra scary? I mean, yes, you should have your face concealed when you do these kinds of acts but so creepy?? Why are all these masked people in the woods always wearing masks...I'm here for it though. These masks were actually kind of cool. I feel like there has to be some symbolism to the masks like the hunted and the hunters. I still cannot believe the final girl was still going strong until the very end. I think she survived right?? I think she was barely alive. After all of that she was shot by the cops :( Everyone is out to kill everyone in this movie. She was such a trooper. I actually really liked the blender scene where she was just blending this dude's head like a freaking smoothie. He really did deserve it. Not as much as her freaking boyfriend though. He is the worst because he tried to look like a good, innocent guy where his brother didn't overly make himself out to be the good guy. He didn't really do anything to make himself to look like a slimeball either though. He just stayed kind of quiet until shit really went down. I hate the boyfriend out of all the characters in the movie. I really hate when people try to look innocent and explain things like "babe, I was just trying to do the best thing for our futureeee" dude stfu.
